Head Chef brings instant Accolade

The Folly Restaurant at Sudbury House Hotel has recently been awarded one rosette from the AA. Below is the Faringdon Folly newspaper article from the September edition along with a photo of the team: Head Chef Clifford Burt, Sous Chef Jacqui Massey, Kev Arlott & Matt Murray.

The Best Western Sudbury House hotel in Faringdon is celebrating following an overnight visit by an incognito inspector from the AA. The inspector, who only reveals his true identity on check out, was extremely complimentary about the hotel with housekeeping, service and hospitality scoring very high marks. However it was the food quality which stood out the most with the inspector declaring “dinner offered a good selection of carefully prepared dishes delivering the promised flavours and was most enjoyable. The overall experience achieves a well deserved new award of one Rosette”.

Clifford Burt who has only recently been appointed as the new Head Chef at Sudbury House was delighted to receive the accolade on behalf of the hotel. Andrew Ibbotson, General Manager, said “We have been working towards attaining one Rosette standard for some time now and the appointment of Clifford was the final piece in the jigsaw, but make no mistake this was a team effort and we are all very proud of what they have achieved”.
